Cookie Policy

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. "Local storage" is a similar browser feature used to remember information (for example, what's in your basket) between visits. This policy uses "cookies" to refer to both.

When you first visit LLA Plates we show a cookie banner with three equally weighted options: Accept optional, Reject optional, and Cookie settings. Essential cookies and storage are always on because the site, basket and checkout can't work without them. Optional (advertising / measurement) cookies only load if you accept them.

• Plate builder & basket — local storage in your browser to remember your basket ID and configuration so your basket isn't lost between pages.
• Shopify checkout & cart cookies — set by Shopify when you add items and proceed through checkout. Required for checkout, payment and fraud prevention.
• Consent record — a small entry in local storage that remembers your cookie choice so we don't ask again on every page load.

• Meta Pixel (Facebook / Instagram) — pixel ID 1654796768944859. Records page views, product / builder views, add-to-basket and checkout initiation on this website so we can measure ad performance and show relevant ads. It is not loaded at all unless you accept optional cookies. Meta may then set cookies (for example _fbp) and receive your IP and browser information. The purchase event itself is fired by Shopify on the checkout, not by this site.
• Ad click / campaign passthrough — if you accept optional cookies and arrive from a Google or Meta ad, we temporarily remember click identifiers (gclid, gbraid, wbraid, fbclid) and campaign tags (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_content, utm_term) in your browser's session storage so we can pass them to Shopify checkout for correct ad attribution. Cleared when you close the tab, and never stored if you reject optional cookies.
• PostHog analytics & session replay — measures visits, page views, clicks, scroll depth, device type, referrer and your journey through the plate builder, and records an anonymised replay of the session so we can find and fix usability problems. Session replay masks all text and every form input, so registrations, names, addresses, email addresses, phone numbers and payment details are never recorded. It is not loaded at all unless you accept optional cookies, and it stops immediately if you withdraw consent.

We do not use Google Analytics, Google Ads gtag / GTM, TikTok Pixel, or any other analytics or advertising tools on this website. Google Ads conversion tracking and Enhanced Conversions are handled by Shopify on the checkout.

Some pages link to our social profiles (Instagram @limitlessautom, TikTok @limitlessautom, Facebook Limitless Automotive). Clicking those links takes you to those third-party sites, which set their own cookies under their own policies.

The Shopify checkout, when you reach it, is served by Shopify and may set additional Shopify cookies needed for payment processing and fraud prevention. Shopify may also load Meta and Google tags on the checkout to record purchases for ad attribution. These are essential for completing your order.

You can change your choice at any time by clicking Cookie Preferences in the site footer. Rejecting or withdrawing consent will immediately stop the Meta Pixel firing new events and clear the ad click / campaign passthrough storage. Cookies already set by Meta in your browser can be cleared from your browser settings, and you can opt out of personalised ads from Meta in your Facebook / Instagram ad settings. Disabling essential cookies/storage will prevent the plate builder, basket and checkout from working.
