Returns & Refunds

Every LLA Plates number plate is manufactured to the registration and specification you choose in the plate builder (style, size, shape, plate type). Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, the standard 14-day right of cancellation does not apply to goods made to the consumer's specification or clearly personalised.

This means we can't offer refunds or exchanges simply because you've changed your mind, or because the details you entered (registration, style, size, plate type) turned out to be wrong.

Nothing on this page removes or limits your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. You are still entitled to a repair, replacement or refund if your plate is:

• Faulty;
• Damaged on arrival / in transit;
• Not as described; or
• Incorrect because of an error made by LLA Plates.

Please contact us as soon as possible — ideally within 7 days of receiving your order — and include:

• Your order number;
• A clear description of the issue;
• Clear photos of the plates and, for transit damage, the packaging.

The 7-day request helps us resolve transit damage quickly with the courier — it does not limit or remove your statutory consumer rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

We'll review the information and, where the claim is valid, arrange a replacement, repair or refund in line with your statutory rights.

We don't publish a general returns address because number plates are made to order and unauthorised returns can go missing. Please email or message us first so we can confirm the correct process and, if a return is needed, where to send it.

Where a refund is agreed it will be issued to the original payment method via Shopify. Depending on your bank/card provider, funds usually appear within a few working days of the refund being processed.

Please double-check your registration and configuration before paying. Plates produced correctly to the details you supplied are not eligible for refund. If you spot a mistake immediately after ordering, contact us straight away — if production hasn't started we'll do our best to help.
